Welcome! :)
I am Yun Fei, an occupational therapist (OT) currently based in Penang having trained in the United Kingdom. It is my dream to empower individuals and families, while promoting the OT profession through sharing of my knowledge and clinical experiences.
My clinical experiences in the UK and Malaysia comprised of providing OT services to a range of people from children to elderly; covering different settings including hospitals, clinics, community-based services and special needs school.
I have a strong interest in the paediatrics and neurology field. With that, I have been working with children and their families from the local and international communities ever since I graduated from University. I am undertaking Postgraduate Certificate in Sensory Integration.
As a therapist, I strive to deliver client-centred care for the child by tailoring to their individual needs, strengths and motivators.
Psst…these are some of my secret ingredients in delivering an engaging, comfortable and effective therapy session:
Add a touch of creativity
Mix in loads of kindness
Sprinkle lots of fun
Helping children to become problem solvers, build a sense of self and achieve independence are some of the things that I find rewarding! When working collaboratively with the child’s family, teachers, psychologist, speech therapist and other healthcare professionals, I strongly believe that every child has unlimited potential to achieve.
